CAL PLAYS THE ACCORDIAN ! |

In October, one of our volunteers went to EagleCrest, Presbyterian Homes and Services to play his accordian for the people who live there. Everyone loved hearing the "good ol' songs" and hymns and had a great time singing along. Cal's wife, Eileen, goes with him when he plays and she tells jokes while Cal is getting set up. It was a fun time for all! |

HFM brought the Alpha program to Mission Nursing Home in August. Alpha is a 12 week program where people learn about Christianity and can ask any questions that they may have about life, the Bible, why we are here, who is Jesus or any question they may have on their hearts. There is a great group of guys who attend the weekly program and on October 25th 2 of them went with Jerry on a "weekend away". About an hour from the cities they were able to watch videos, discuss the topics with small groups and be alone if they wanted . One of the men (Gene) is 91 years old. The other man that went is Nels. Both men were blessed and grateful for the opportunity to go to this function. |
